A disagreement brewing between a former House of Representative member and Vice Chairman of the APC in Akwa Ibom State may throw the party into chaos, NEWS LINK can report.

The disagreement NEWS LINK learnt stems from an attempt to change delegate lists and defrauding members of the party by the Vice Chairman, Eket Senatorial District, Hon. Emmanuel Oton.

According to reports monitored by our Political Desk, three-term member of the House of Representatives, Otuekong Bernard Udoh has even vowed to publicly inflict lashes of cane on Oton, if he is further reported to have altered lists or defraud members of the party in his senatorial district.

Speaking to national daily, Independent, Otuekong Bernard Udoh said:“We want to warn Emmanuel Oton to desist from causing confusion in the party, because the APC is set to take over this state and we do not need any confusion from within”.

“Tell him that we would lay him on a slate and flog him 12 strokes of cane if we receive any further complain of creating confusion, changing list or defrauding members of the party. I have been going round, trying to settle members and ensure there is peace in the party, but the young man is busy working against our efforts, we have to beat him up “.

He said with the PDP’s inability to continue to interpret and implement the ideologies of the founding fathers of the party, many, including himself had to abandon the party and would therefore not watch some greedy persons also destroy the APC.

On the anticipated 2019 guber battle, he said: “The Governorship has been moved to Ikot Abasi federal constituency and I am supporting my brother, Obong Nsima Udo Ekere”.
